 YOUR MISSION:

You and your partners are students at SJO Detective School. There has been a murder at your school and, in view of the complexity of the case, Chief Inspector Peter Donaldson, who is in charge of the investigation, needs you to cooperate with him to solve the case. Will you help him?

RULES:

  • During the following weeks you are going to work in teams to try to solve the case of the murder of the English teacher Richard Pennyweather. Chief Inspector Donaldson will give you a new clue every week. It will be the same clue for all the teams.

  • To obtain extra clues, your team will have to overcome different challenges. In each challenge you will have to complete different individual or team English tasks. If your team completes the tasks correctly, you can earn XP points and then exchange these XP points for extra clues to solve the case. The number of XP points can change depending on the task.

  • Team members can also obtain police badges for individual results and then exchange the badges for XP points for your team. Every badge is worth 200 XP and every extra clue is 400 XP. Team members that earn a badge will also get 0'2 extra points on their final mark for this project.

  • The XP for each task will be specified in the task document.

  • At the end of the project, you will have to make a closing argument in teams saying who killed Richard Pennyweather in your opinion. You'll have to explain how and why it happened and also explain why you think the other suspects didn't kill him (explain their alibis).

 MARKS AND REWARDS:

  • Your performance during the challenges will result in three aspects:

  1. Individual and group ENGLISH MARKS.
